Our organic golden sugar is a healthier alternative to regular white sugar. It has a sweet yet delicate caramel taste and is derived from the sugarcane plant. Essentially it is powdered jaggery. It contains molasses which has trace minerals from the sugarcane which include iron and potassium. It is free from chemicals and is minimally processed in cottage industries in Maharashtra. It is unrefined and has fewer calories than white sugar. This traditional gur shakkar is ready to be spooned into any beverage and is excellent for baking and desserts.
